I like how this is the one time you see Sondra mess up or get in trouble with her parents and it's after she's married. I think Theo starts to get his act together after watching mom and dad go after Sondra too. This is also one time where Clair acts like Cliff about money and it took Sondra to do it.

I like this episode because you never really see Sondra and Denise teaming up being sisters having each other's back. You also see two young married couples have it out while the experienced married couple keep quiet and Theo is totally clueless at the mess he started.

That bit about answering the phone without ringing is plausible. I've picked up the phone once to call someone at the exact moment someone was calling our house. It's confusing until you realize what happened. I do love how Cliff and Clair just lay there comfortable watching Rudy's story fall apart.

I'm guessing Sandra was an easy child to raise, Denise too, until she got into college. Theo probably scared them but seemed to get his act together before college but DEFINITELY go it together after destroying that apartment. NONE of them prepared them for Vanessa. Even with Dabnis, they had to keep an eye on her. I like how because of Vanessa, they could see Rudy about to mess up a mile away and get away with nothing.

This scene is why I wish there was one more season. I would have liked to see Cliff and Dabnis getting along, but bookending the series with Theo starting high school and graduating college was good.

Love it that Cliff is teaching Theo the value of money 💰😅.

I always liked how Theo smiled when he saw his parents were no longer fighting even though he knew he was still going to get his punishment.

What a good quality show!!! As a child, I learned about art, jazz, and education by watching this show. I wish there were good quality shows like this in 2024. We all could benefit watching as friends, and family. That type of quality influence is priceless.
